Corridor Mapping
Texas Midstream Gas Services (TMGS) Ft. Worth, Texas
Parent Company: Chesapeake Energy, Oklahoma City, OK
DDSI was hired to survey and map several pipeline routes for a gas gathering system in the Barnett Shale located in Fort Worth, Texas. To aid in the route development stages of the project we are tasked to analyze several GIS data bases to select the optimum location for a pipeline segment. TMGS gives us the basic location of each end of the pipeline and we compare that route to GIS data such as FEMA, wetlands areas, church and school locations so that we avoid these sensitive areas. We analyze this route against GIS data retrieved from the City of Fort Worth that includes roads, sewer lines, water lines and storm drains so that we can get exact engineering data for proper crossing information. We analyze the final route against the Appraisal District GIS data so that we can prepare our landowner list so that negotiations regarding easements can begin.
DDSI prepares the necessary documents for landowner easements and TMGS files with the county of record. Survey stakes the pipeline route and construction begins. Throughout the construction process we collect all necessary information regarding that segment of pipe for input into the TMGS GIS data model (PODS).
Enterprise Texas Pipeline, LLC
Parent Company: Enterprise Products Partners, LP Houston, Texas
DDSI prepares property plats, permits and alignments in preparations for construction of a 30” pipeline transportation system. DDSI has worked with the City of Haltom, Fort Worth, North Richland Hills and Richland Hills to evaluate the best location of the transportation system within the metropolitan areas. DDSI has used GIS to evaluate existing data from the cities and help maintain a data set from different municipalities. DDSI analyzes data from the different municipalities along with Appraisal District information to determine best case pre-engineering locations of pipelines and related facilities.
Oklahoma Natural Gas Company (ONG) Tulsa, OK
Parent Company: ONEOK
We work with Customer Development on their natural gas line extensions. We research existing easements. If a new easement is required, we direct survey then prepare exhibits for right-of way acquisition. We act as liaison between land owners and ONG during right-of-way acquisition and construction. We direct staking of easement for construction and coordinate as-built survey of newly installed pipeline. We also prepare road crossing permits for city, county and state of Oklahoma as required.
Lumen Midstream Tulsa, OK
Parent Company: AKA Energy
On this 14 mile natural gas pipeline, DDSI’s activities included right-of-way acquisition, crossing permits, management of pre-construction and as-built survey, and preparation of preliminary and as-built alignment sheets.
Level (3) Communications (Formerly Wiltel and Williams Communications) Broomfield, CO
Provide project management for survey and create alignment sheets for fiber optic route additions and relocations in Oklahoma.
DDSI was hired to survey and map several fiber optic networks for the Department of Defense through a contract with Boeing. Our services included maximizing the location of the fiber route and manholes based upon existing locations of current networks. We worked with Buckley AFB, Fort Carson and Schreiver AFB analyzing existing data to minimize communications interference. The exact locations where recorded in Level 3 GIS database for delivery to DOD. This work required security clearance for each site location.
Created as-built alignment sheets for thousands of miles of fiber optic routes utilizing preliminary alignments and construction inspector’s notes and bore logs.
